At the 118th Massachusetts Knights of Columbus Annual Lantern Award on Patriots’ Day 2018, Massachusetts Knights of Columbus State Deputy Paul G. O’Sullivan of Foxboro and State Chaplain Bishop Robert Hennessey presented the Sixty-Second Massachusetts Knights of Columbus Lantern Award to Bishop Robert Reed, President of the CatholicTV television network, CEO of iCatholic Media, Inc, and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston for his dedication to God and Country. St. Cleophas Council 15756 in Barre served more than 130 pancake breakfasts, raising more than $700 for the St. Francis of Assisi parish annual Holiday Fair. Members also helped set up and break down the facilities for the fair, which netted about $10,000 to support parish operations and programs.
Father Dennis J. Rocheford Council 4241 in North Oxford conducted its annual Halloween party, this year attended by roughly 50 special needs adults and their support staff from surrounding towns. Held in St. Roch’s church hall, the event included a buffet and a disc jockey. The party has been held annually for more than 10 years. (more…)
